I was sore, terrified and completely exhausted when I worked on this piece and I was about to enter the hardest year of my life. I can remember my joints feeling so sore from my year of waitressing with little dance or fitness and during this video everything hurt. I literally did feel weighed down by gravity when making this piece and remember deciding that I would not actually let myself be weighed down... that I would push and grow throughout the next year and not just survive. Since then I started strength training again (CrossFit), started dancing again and teaching theGROOVE again weekly which really helped my body feel better. It is still something I am working on and have come so far since last summer in this area.
